Who we are

Acorn Paediatric Allied Health was founded after regularly seeing gaps in stable support provision for paediatric consumers.  Acorn’s founder Jess has been passionate about working with children since experiencing a university placement working on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at a teaching hospital in Karnataka, India.  After having the opportunity to support families and babies going through immense challenge with both direct interventions and advocacy, Jess knew her career would be most fulfilling when working within the paediatric space. However, upon returning to Australia and working within paediatrics Jess both witnessed and experienced being short staffed and under the pump with too many consumers to service and not enough clinicians to provide services.  Ergo the development of Acorn Paediatric Allied Health.  Jess’s aim for Acorn is to be a trusted company, for clients to feel both seen and heard and to receive the quality services that they both need and deserve.  Acorn Paediatric Allied Health has been developed with the values of Honesty, Education, Connection and Care with the underlying intent that every client experiences these values with every visit from the Acorn team.
